We had a lazy day running down to Lyon. When the wind was fair we put up our jury mast and got an extra half knot with the staysail. We kept up with a barge so the locks were ready for us. We reached Lyon about 1930 and passed through with “Barracuda” by Heart blaring out over the river Saone. We turned upriver into the Rhone and moored at the new marina just as it was getting dark. We tied up five feet from the pontoons as there were suspicious looking characters around.
